For us bicycles are recreational equipment, but for some people a bicycle can mean survival.

A bicycle can make all the difference in a persons life. It can be the difference between having a job or not, going to school or not, seeing a doctor or not...

Over the last 17 years, Lincoln & York has been active in making close relationships with coffee growing communities across the world in Africa, Asia and South and Central America.

As part of Lincoln & York’s commitment to coffee growing communities, we are supporting the Bicycle Aid for Africa campaign to send unwanted bicycles to developing communities.

Bicycle Aid for Africais a non-profit organization that provides bikes for people in developing countries in need of transportation to get to work or to school, including health care workers.

Lincoln & York helps Bicycle Aid for Africa by providing a regional collection centre for unwanted bikes in Humberside and Northern Lincolnshire.

A large collection of children's and adult bicycles is building up in a corner of one of our warehouses - shortly to get a new and much needed lease of life overseas. More information at www.re-cycle.org
