LINCOLN & YORK TO BUILD NEW FACTORY
Apr 2008
Lincoln & York started in very small premises in Brigg in 1992, moving to the current site at Elsham Wold in 1996.
Although the site was extended in 1999, it has become clear that the Company needs larger and improved production facilities to maintain its planned growth and development.
Although a move to an existing unit was an option, it has been decided that the Company will build a brand new factory, office, technical and training centre, designed and built for our particular requirements.
A large site adjacent to the Company’s warehouse at Elsham Wold is occupied by a bungalow and the Company has obtained planning consent for a new factory on this site.
Being less than 200 metres from the existing factory, the new site will be convenient for the 35 permanent employees, a factor important in planning where the new site would be located.
The first job will be the demolition of the redundant bungalow, clearing the large site for development to begin in June.
If all goes as planned, Lincoln & York expects to be able to move into the new site in December 2008, with major plant (such as roasters) relocated by Summer 2009.

Bungalow has nearly gone!
